As a managing director with our school services division, Lavinia Group, Khari supports schools so they can lead children to strong academic outcomes. He says he especially enjoys the people-facing component of the work, and the continued opportunity to work with adults and children nationwide.

The proudest moment of Khari's career was his first day as a school principal. He says that he did not get much sleep the night before, kept awake by worry and doubt. He left home at 5 A.M. and drove to the school where his grandmother taught, which was walking distance from his own school. They stood outside the school and had a conversation, which she began with, "Pickney, don't vex me!" She went on to do most of the talking, and Khari listened as she assured him of his worth and importance in the school. About an hour later, Khari was straightened out and ready to be the educator that Harlem needed him to be.

Khari is a true polymath. In addition to being an avid chess player, his hobbies include history, target shooting, most sports, hip-hop music, driving fast cars and superbikes, traveling and reading poetry. Khari's father operated a dojo focusing on Shotokan karate, and Khari started learning at the age of six. He also studied Kobujutso (Japanese weapons), and Krav Maga, a self-defense system that got its start in Israel. He has earned a black belt in all three disciplines.

Abby is a program representative with our iteach alternative certification division. She plays a pivotal role in processing certificates for candidates and helping them gain their field experience. Abby's favorite part of her job is the family environment with her coworkers. In her words, the company has become her home away from home.

Abby has always wanted to help and work with children. This led to her pursuing her Master's degree in Human Relations while teaching Kindergarten. She loved seeing the eager smiles of five-year-olds every morning, ready to learn. Abby says that it is rewarding knowing that she has such a huge impact on a student's life, and now she has the privilege of helping people become teachers so that they can experience the same feeling.

In her free time, Abby enjoys doing CrossFit and puzzles (she stresses that she will never be caught working on a puzzle with fewer than 1,000 pieces). In the future, Abby sees herself picking up gardening and improving her green thumb.

As content and curriculum manager, Bailey manages content experts, curriculum development and implementation on our learning management system where customers take their courses.

Prior to joining K12 Coalition, Bailey taught in public school for nearly 10 years, most recently as a middle school literacy teacher in Iowa. She also taught in 5th and kindergarten classrooms and social emotional skills to students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Teaching runs in Bailey’s family. Her mother was a paraprofessional in Illinois, while her sister-in-law was a special education teacher in Iowa. Bailey says what she loves most about her work is it’s “centered around helping those who are in classrooms every day.” She says, “I love that part of our mission is to empower aspiring teachers to find their confidence while preparing for state licensure tests."

Outside of work, Bailey loves going on adventures near and far with her husband and daughter. She is also an avid reader and her happy place is when she’s curled up on a couch with a book, her golden retriever and a strong cup of coffee.

Eddie is in charge of K12 Coalition’s creative services team. In this role he helps bring our brand identity to life through our digital collateral, advertising and websites. He began with our iteach alternative certification division as a freelancer in 2011, and was hired full-time as a marketing director in 2021. In 2022, he shifted to his current role, overseeing the creative side of the business for all divisions.

Eddie truly has a fascinating background: he has written a children's book about the importance of fear, he danced for the Dallas Mavericks for two seasons as a Mavericks ManiAAC, he auditioned for Food Network Star and he holds a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University, which people used to think was a joke hung on the wall of his office.

Eddie has wide-ranging interests, somehow finding time to ride his Peloton, play racquetball, travel with his boyfriend, sing karaoke and do hot yoga. If he was not working in education, Eddie says he would love to own a restaurant, which we think he should do given the footage in his Food Network audition tape. One of Eddie's favorite sayings is, "When my table is full, so is my heart."

As a Marketing Automation Manager, Henry owns all things HubSpot. One of his main responsibilities is to map workflows to optimize lead nurturing and guide our customers through the buyer's journey. Prior to joining K12 Coalition, he performed similar roles in the insurance marketing and middle-market merger and acquisitions fields.

This is Henry’s first work experience in education. He says it’s “fulfilling to help supply classrooms across America with well-trained and motivated teachers. ”He thinks often of his late great uncle, "Uncle K," who was an English and Math teacher in Ghana, and who was like a grandfather to him.

Outside of work, Henry pursues his passion for television sitcom writing, weight lifting, playing basketball at the gym and learning new vocabulary words.

As Human Resources manager, Holland leads our onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll and other HR information systems programs. Her favorite part of working at K12 Coalition is how diversified and challenging the work is from day to day.

Holland has lived an interesting life, having spent time in seven different states. She also had an extremely unique first job in the military as a nuclear weapons mechanic. Because of this experience, she is extremely handy with tools.

Holland describes her coming into the field of education as a happy accident, but has found the work far more rewarding than she could have imagined. Both her brother and sister-in-law are educators and Holland relishes the opportunity to be able to give back to the education community.

In her spare time, Holland enjoys learning and collecting antique books and unique plants. She has always been interested in picking up oil painting and glassblowing.

Marcee started off with K12 Coalition managing a team of part-time instructors and eventually moving to course development. She now leads the in-house team that creates Teaching Channel’s graduate-level continuing education courses. Her favorite part of her job is getting feedback from teachers who have applied what they’ve learned in a course. In her words, the best reward is knowing that we have helped teachers learn new strategies to better meet the needs of the kids they work with.

Marcee was inspired to work in education by her mother, who has been in education for 52 years. One of her proudest moments in the field was seeing a student who entered her classroom in third grade from a refugee camp in Thailand go on to learn English, excel in her studies and come back to teach high school math at the same school where she started.

Outside of work, Marcee is kept busy by her three children, but also enjoys seeing live music with her husband in her home city of St. Paul, Minnesota. She has strong ties to the area, having been a Minnesota Vikings cheerleader during her college years—SKOL, Vikings! Her favorite vacation destination has been the North Shore of Kauai, where she loves the beach and the culture. Her list of future destinations includes Tokyo and New Zealand.

Max’s role focuses on the implementation of the ENGAGE video coaching tool for school districts, independent schools and school leaders.

Prior to joining K12 Coalition, Max was a teacher in California and Florida. He spent the first five years as an elementary school teacher at Los Angeles Unified School District. After that he taught at Miami Dade County Public Schools, which later launched him into the role of instructional device manager at his school site. And he says, “That’s when I was introduced to my newfound passion for educational technology.”

Max got his inspiration for teaching in part from his aunt, who was a middle school teacher for over forty years in Detroit Public Schools. While his mother had a career as a court reporter, she later transitioned to a job teaching stenography. About his current job, Max says, “My favorite thing about this company is that we all share the same mission—to help students learn.”

Max’s passion outside of work is…to be outside! His favorite activities are gardening, fishing and relaxing at the beach.

A 13-year veteran of the company, Todd’s focus has been on building and maintaining the InstructNET platform in Salesforce. Currently he is transitioning to an IT architect and manager role as K12 Coalition builds its tech team across all of its business units.

Todd began his career working for a Big Five consulting firm. He later moved into IT roles at several advertising agencies. Todd says he loves working in a company where he’s not just a cog in a machine. “I’m able to make an impact every day and it’s clear that my contributions are valued by my teammates and my superiors. I truly love technology; I love architecting solutions to complicated problems and I’ve rarely felt like this is a job."

When asked what he would tell those considering working for K12 Coalition, Todd emphasized “it has it all—great people, along with an exciting environment with opportunities for advancement.” In his experience, employees’ ideas are valued and their voices are heard. He says the bonus is doing work that has a real chance to change the world for the better in tangible ways.

Outside of work, Todd enjoys writing and producing music in his home studio, plus fitness, cooking, and spending time with his two boys.

Racquel is a senior associate with our school services division, Insight Education. She supports school districts through strategic planning, coaching, facilitating professional development and providing equity support services. She says she loves working for an organization that believes in their employees' talents and is passionate about improving student outcomes.

For Racquel, people were the original inspiration for her work in education. She loves serving and doing what she can to empower those around her. Her proudest moment was her time as a principal, developing staff and creating programming for students.

Racquel works from Smyrna, Georgia, and her favorite part of the area is the community celebrations. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, listening to music, reading historical fiction and watching movies. She is also working on becoming a better golfer. In addition, Racquel enjoys salsa dancing and the Marvel, Star Trek, and Game of Thrones franchises. Her favorite place that she has visited is Asheville, North Carolina, but she has Santorini on her bucket list.

A senior leader with K12 Coalition, Andrea manages district partnerships on the TSL 2020 grant for the Innovation Generated by a Networked Team of Educators (IGNITE) Project. Her partners include Syracuse City School District, Palm Beach County School District, Jackson Public Schools and Greenville Independent School District. 


Prior to joining K12 Coalition Andrea held many senior executive positions in education organizations. Her diverse roles included President of Athios Academy, Regional General Manager of Pearson Learning, Founder of Pinnacle Learning Systems and CEO of Algiers Charter Schools Association. Earlier in her career Andrea served as Director of the Say Yes to Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned her doctorate.

Education runs in Andrea’s blood. Her mother, godmother, aunts and numerous cousins are or were educators.

Speaking about K12 Coalition Andrea says, “if you thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires collaboration, flexibility and creativity to navigate the multitude of challenges schools are faced with today, then K12 Coalition may be the place for you!”

Outside of work Andrea prizes time spent with her family and playing with her two COVID cats, La-la and Gumball. She also enjoys strength training, watching crime dramas and book clubs with friends. And, she says, “I love football and all things LSU—Geaux Tigers!”
