Educators in California will be expected to meet a new set of requirements as the state’s refreshed standards for teaching go into effect this academic year.
And those expectations will extend to the education companies that support teachers in delivering instruction, from professional development to curriculum and materials.
School districts working to implement the updated California Standards for the Teaching Profession into their ongoing professional development and educator evaluations will need support from vendors, said Jason Stricker, chief policy officer at K-12 Coalition, a teacher certification, professional development, and curriculum provider.
