WISC-TV: Wisconsin Teachers Satisfied, But Feel Teaching Is Getting Tougher

K12 Coalition Chief Academic Officer Wendy Amato appeared on Madison, Wisconsin’s WISC-TV News to discuss findings from K12 Coalition’s spring Teacher Sentiment Report, with a focus on Wisconsin educators. The report found that while teachers continue to care deeply about their students and report moderate to high job satisfaction, many say the profession is becoming increasingly challenging due to heavy workloads, staffing shortages and growing administrative demands. Amato highlighted the need for school leaders to address staffing, strengthen professional learning, and support students’ social-emotional needs.
